The Problem

JH Pro Gloves' entire pitch is personalization — build a glove that's genuinely yours. Right now, that moment happens inside Angle3D, a white-label 3D configurator embedded on jhprogloves.com via iframe (the tool loads from app.angle3d.co, not the brand's own infrastructure).

It works, but it's a rented experience: a generic "LOADING 3D CONFIGURATOR" state before the tool even appears, a UI that has nothing to do with JH's brand language, and real gaps underneath — including a live configuration error sitting on the site today ("No customization has been created for this 3D model"). For a DTC brand built entirely around personalization, the single most important five minutes of the customer journey is happening inside somebody else's product.

The Competitive Landscape

JH isn't competing on leather alone. Competitors like 44PRO, Marucci, and Rawlings are all investing in build-your-own experiences that feel like core product, not a bolted-on plugin — and in a category where the builder is the pitch, an off-the-shelf embed puts JH at a structural disadvantage before a single glove ships.

Three real competitor builders, side by side — the bar the native JH experience has to clear.

03

The Native Build

As a business partner in JH Pro Gloves, I'm replacing the licensed embed with a builder written natively for the brand — no iframe, no third-party runtime, full control over every pixel and interaction end to end, running on Three.js/WebGL directly in the browser.

The test wasn't "can we render a 3D glove." It was "can this feel like a real product experience instead of a checkout-flow afterthought" — real-time materials, real personalization, zero plugin chrome.

What's live in the builder today: real-time decal-based personalization (custom text and logos placed directly onto the 3D leather), a library of dozens of typefaces for nameplates and stitching, multiple glove models and web patterns to switch between, several environment/lighting scenes, and a "resume your build" flow so a customer can leave mid-design and pick up exactly where they left off.

Live Demo — Build Your Own Glove

This isn't a screen recording. It's the actual builder, running live — rotate the glove, switch materials, place your own text and logo, and see it render in real time.

What This Changes

Full Ownership
No more licensing a third party's configurator for the brand's signature moment
Native Brand Experience
Every pixel of the builder is JH Pro Gloves — not a generic embed with a logo pasted on top
Built to Extend
New models, materials, and personalization options ship on JH's timeline, not a vendor's roadmap

This is an active, ongoing partnership — the native builder above is what replaces the Angle3D embed on jhprogloves.com.
